We have an opening for an experienced Cake Decorator with knowledge of buttercream masking, trimming, and scripting cakes. A keen eye for detail and the ability to follow our customers vision. You must be neat and be able to work in a team atmosphere. Monday to Saturday and the occasional Sunday. Above average wages for the right person. Job Requirements & Responsibilities - Decorating specialty cakes, covering cakes in fondant and buttercream - Fondant covering skill is a must. - Creating fondant and gum paste design elements and figurines - Must be able to take direction, work independently, complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner. - Minimum 2-3 years of decorating experience with a portfolio showing quality of work is a must.

We are currently seeking an Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our Finance team.  This is an opportunity to work for a growing fun filled company.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

AP/AR/familiar with Payroll/bank recs/inventory, monthly, quarterly/yearly reports, costs analysis, historical data/variance analysis. Experience in Excel (pivot tables/vlookups) Bachelor's or Associates in Business/Economics/Accounting/Finance a plus, but not required.

  • Day-to-day bookkeeping, payables, shipping and billing reconciliation, invoice preparation and support, record keeping, filing, etc.
  • Process vendor invoices and auditing of supporting documents to ensure approvals
  • Research and respond to inquiries from management and respond to vendor inquiries regarding billing
  • Maintaining company records and general support of the finance team

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Data Entry
  • Ability to handle designated accounts (A/R, A/P)
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Baking and Pastry Intern is responsible for working as part of the team while getting exposed to the different fields of Carlo’s Bakery such as baking and decorating.

DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS:
  • Enrolled in a baking and pastry program
  • Minimum of a 3 month commitment
  • Shift Minimum – 24 hours per week
  • Ability to work well in a busy environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Produce our entire line of baked goods:  quality cakes, cupcakes, cookies, biscotti and any other production items as delegated by a manager
  • Ensure exceptional product by following recipes, understanding prep procedures, and maintaining raw materials quality
  • Make sure our baked goods are baked and decorated according to Carlo’s Bakery product standards
  • Understand proper use of all equipment: ovens, mixers, sheeters, scales, walk-in, and freezer
  • Maintain a clean production area
  • Clean and sanitize all equipment, work areas, containers and utensils
  • Be quick, accurate and organized
  • Perform other duties as directed by a manager

We are looking for a self-motivated and productive development chef to assist our Quality Assurance Department in recipe testing and documentation. Our current department runs ASI HACCP programs, shelf life testing, moisture analysis, and pH testing for products. We develop new concepts, as well as, improve current lines and products for quality and longevity

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate must have an understanding of large scale sourcing, allergen testing, HACCP, QA management systems, an ASI food safety standards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work well in a busy environment
  • Must have experience working in a kitchen/bakery setting to understand flow and concept
  • Nutritional data programs, and form standardization is a big plus!
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time (8+ hours a day)
  • Food Protection Certification holder or willing to obtain certification within 30 days of employment
